SEARCH & About
I’m Regina (you can call me “Reg”) and I like cooking with, reading about and growing seasonal foods.
While I don’t advertise this blog as a veggie-only zone, thus far, my recipes cater solely to herbivores. I have never had a craving or taste for meat; I enjoy cooking with legumes, grains, nuts, seeds, eggs and cheeses. While I don’t notice the absence of carnivorous ingredients, you may. I encourage you to dabble with the recipes you find here and adapt them to your taste preferences. I only ask that you take a moment to think about where your favorite foods come from. If you are able, put your dollar (think: vote with your fork) toward a life that you feel good about supporting — whether it be the farmer growing your food, the rancher who raised the animal that you eat or the animal itself.
xo,
Reg
P.S. When recipes fall under one of these categories – (1) gluten-free, (2) nut-free, (3) vegan or (4) specific carbohydrate diet – I make note of that in the “Diet Notes” section at the bottom of each recipe.
P.P.S. I like snapping photos and putzing around outside.

Wow Regina! There is a dizzying amount of great food here. Thank you again for your wonderful family’s hospitality. I’m missing the desert already. Luckily I brought some chiltepines back to Rainier to help keep me warm. Have a great summer – don’t drink too many Eegees!
